Kate Dalforno is an artist from Santa Barbara, California who uses drawing, photography, and paint to interpret natural systems into simple patterns through movement. With strong backgrounds in music and dance along with her fascination and appreciation for the ocean, what is produced is a direct reflection of the subconscious and how that stores itself in memories of her background. The way she interacts with movement and the free flowing forms of the subconscious results in a tedious, yet freeing process. She draws a parallel from the movement within and created by herself; an ever-changing, ever-moving, ever-communicating means of describing something without using a language spoken by means of words.
