HUES OF ISOLATION

Pepperdine’s Center For The Arts is proud to present “Hues of Isolation,” a collaborative Online Exhibition Opening May 6. The exhibition’s artists include Ali Mullin, Alyssa Anderson, Anne Marie Butcher, Caleb Noh, Carson Vandermade, David Bird, Emily Margot Knight, Jacqueline LeCourt, Jess Hibler, Veronica Sams, and Zion Chang.

These artists have worked through the various challenges that the online world have presented, and have been wrestling the idea of what it means to be alone. The exhibition, “Hues of Isolation,” features works from the 2021 Senior Studio class and acts as a capstone class for the major. Student works include a range of media, including animation, painting, sculpture, and video, that explore a wide variety of issues including feminism, memory, inclusivity, and identity.

In addition to this online gallery, this exhibition will include a covid conscious option for Museum Gallery visits in April to view student work installed in the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art on Pepperdine’s Malibu campus.
